The contest is on Sunday.
Sign ups for the contest will be all-day Saturday and till Noon on Sunday. The sign up table will be located outside the main panel room. The contest is free to enter but you will need a valid show wristband to participate.
Put together your best cosplay/costume and come show it off! Though the contest is only on Sunday, you are certainly welcome to come dressed up on Saturday in the same or even different costume.
You can sign up to enter all day Saturday and Sunday from 11-2.
There will be prizes for the winners of the cosplay contest.
All Kid entries will receive a gift bag and the top 3 will also receive a Trophy and Certificate.
1st Place (Adult & Teen) will receive a Trophy & Certificate, also a Professional Photo Shoot with Scott Thomason with 4 Photo Edits
2nd Place (Adult & Teen) will receive a Trophy & Certificate, also a Professional Photo Shoot with Jason Enos with 3-5 Photo Edits
3rd Place (Adult & Teen) will receive a Trophy and Certificate, also a $25 gift card.
There are four levels in the cosplay contest for participants to choose from: Adult, Teen 12-17, and Kids 11/under.
All contests will start at 3pm on Sunday.
Our cosplay contest is organized and run by Misty Yates and Sadie Waycaster.
The Cosplay organizers/juges are:
Engineer by Day. Superhero by Night. Most widely known for her sewing skills,
Sadie is an award winning and published cosplayer located in South Carolina.
Her extensive costume portfolio includes multi-fandoms, and her most recent
work includes Disney’s Briar Rose (pictured), Marvel’s Gwenom, and an original
pinup design based on The Little Mermaid. She also enjoys volunteering as a
superhero with local team SC Upstate Heroes as well as blogging and vlogging
in order to share her knowledge and adventures in costume design with others.
South Carolina based prop-maker and foamsmith David, better known as
NoSpaceship, has been cosplaying since 2015. He is pictured here from one of
his most recent armor builds as Ryo of the Wildfire from Ronin Warriors.
He has multiple other notable armor builds under his belt including, but not
limited to, Blizzard Overwatch’ McCree, Rick and Morty’s purge armor, and
his wife’s, Lady Kitz Cosplay, Blizzard Overwatch’s Brigitte. He has recently
started sharing his talent through creative live streaming, and has grown
to Twitch Affiliate.
Misty has been cosplaying for over 8 years. She began as an amateur and
worked up to designing and constructing her own costumes and props. She has
competed several times with many awards including Best in Show. She now lends her knowledge and expertise as a cosplay judge around the southeast Comicons.
